You Have a Right to Know

Article I, Section 24 of the Florida Constitution sets forth the right of every person “to inspect or copy any public records made or received in connection with the official business of any public body, officer, or employee of the state, or persons acting in their behalf, except with respect to records exempted pursuant to this section or specifically made confidential by this Constitution.” Transparency is imperative to preserving the public trust, therefore the Canaveral Port Authority is committed to Florida’s Open Government and Public Records Laws. Please know we will process requests as quickly and efficiently as possible

Definition

“Public Records” means all documents, papers, letters, maps, books, tapes, photographs, films, sound records, data processing software, or other materials, regardless of physical form, characteristics, or means of transmission, made or received pursuant to law or ordinance or in connection with the transaction of official business by the agency.

If you do not have an email address where you may be contacted, please provide another method of contact.
