Port Canaveral, FL – June 27, 2025 – Skies above Port Canaveral will be aglow with color and sound on July 3rd for its annual “Smoke on the Water & Fire in the Sky” fireworks celebration hosted by the Cove Merchants Association at Port Canaveral. The event is the first of three nights of area celebrations that are the hallmark of the Space Coast’s popular Independence Day festivities.

Public viewing of the July 3rd fireworks will be available from The Cove District at Port Canaveral with free parking available at The Cove parking lot for patrons of The Cove restaurants until capacity is reached.

Designated parking areas within Port Canaveral will be available at $15 per vehicle, cash or credit cards accepted. Refer to the below Parking Overview map for designated lot locations.

Please note that there are NO public viewing locations on the north side of Port Canaveral (“A” Cruise Terminals and North Cargo Operations) or on any portion of State Road 401. Brevard County Sheriff’s Office will be monitoring and enforcing the area.

To promote safe arrival at the Port before the event and exiting the Port once the fireworks display concludes, a comprehensive special event parking and traffic flow plan has been developed jointly by Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Canaveral Fire Rescue and Canaveral Port Authority Public Safety. The plan includes road closures in The Cove Restaurant District and utilizes one-way directional exiting of Port roads following the event.

Visitors planning to attend the fireworks celebration should carefully review the parking lot locations and traffic flow maps before arriving to the Port and plan accordingly.

Brevard County Sherriff’s deputies, parking attendants and staff will be located at key traffic intersections around the Port to assist motorists.
