The Canaveral Port Authority continues to monitor the COVID 19 virus situation to ensure we are keeping our employees, guests and extended community well informed.

Our “Adjusting Course” plan follows the health and safety guidelines recommended by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We have implemented safety protocols and practices at our Jetty Park Beach and Campground to prevent and mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus in our park and campground.
To ensure everyone’s enjoyment and the safe use of our beach, fishing pier and campground facilities, we are continuing to limit campground occupancy and large group gatherings to minimize crowded environments andpromote socially distant protocols.

Updates will be posted on Port Canaveral’s website and social media platforms as situations and circumstances may change with COVID 19 in our community. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn for the latest updates.

Recreation at Port Canaveral

Would you like to re-create yourself? Go from stressed to relaxed? From bored to invigorated? From indoor pale to outdoor tan? With more recreational opportunities than all other Florida ports combined, we have an abundance of options for turning an idle hour, day or week into a transforming experience!

Here you can feel the thrill of a rocket launch while sunning on the beach. Enjoy the fresh catch at a harborside table. Win the jackpot on a gaming cruise. Be the first on your charter boat to hook a big one. Dance away the evening, camp under the stars and become your family's hero by bringing them to a place that's so much fun!

To start the fun, you take an easy drive, park conveniently near the facilities you want to enjoy and...enjoy! No bumper-to-bumper roadways, no jostling crowds, no long waits, no hassles.

If you haven't eaten out lately at Port Canaveral, you're missing a great experience. Our restaurants offer a range of fare from finger foods to full-course dinners. If you're in the mood for seafood, where could the day's catch be fresher than where it goes directly from the fishing boat's deck to the restaurant kitchen? If you're not in the seafood mood, how about a great grilled steak, smoked pork ribs, fettuccine alfredo, fried gator bites, or a big piece of bourbon pecan pie? It's all here.
The Cove is a waterfront recreation area at Port Canaveral with restaurants, lounges, shops, charter boats and a casino ship. Many Cove restaurants have outdoor tables and tiki bars, great locations for watching the cruise ships glide by regally or just enjoying an onshore breeze. When the sun goes down, the fun doesn't end. It gets livelier...with DJs, live bands, dancing and karaoke. Feel free to explore. There's amazing variety within easy walking distance. (And if you like camping, you could be just an easy stroll to your bed when the evening ends.)
