Santa’s Workshop is Open!
Bicycles and other Christmas toys are expected to be in short supply this year, mainly due to the global toy shortage caused by the pandemic.  To allow for possible delays, our elves have opened the CPA workshop early, accepting deliveries for the holiday season.

Stay Healthy this Flu Season
Getting a flu shot is more important this season than ever before! The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the healthcare community are preparing for flu viruses and the virus that causes COVID-19 that will spread this fall and winter.
As the world’s second busiest cruise port, approximately eighty percent of our revenue comes from cruise operations. For seventeen months, the pause in cruising had a devastating effect on our Port. For sixteen of those months, our budget had been operating in the red.
Earlier this month we welcomed the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 5 Secretary Jared Purdue and staff members of the district design and development team. They visited Port Canaveral for a site visit, an important step in conducting a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study to evaluate the improvement to the State Road (S.R.) 401 bridge.

Cargo’s Record-Breaking Year
Our cargo business is booming! As Capt. Murray reported at the September Commission meeting, we’ve had a “very, very robust year in the cargo sector”. With 489 ship calls this year, our cargo revenue totaled over $11 million dollars, which was a record-breaking year for our cargo business here at Port Canaveral.
Our very own Port Director and CEO, Captain John Murray, was named one of ‘500 Most Influential Business Leaders’ for 2021 by Florida Trend magazine. This yearly special edition publication is aimed at highlighting the most influential and effective executives in various business sectors throughout the state.
