Port Canaveral - As part of its resumed operations, in Spring 2021 MSC Divina will begin cruising from Port Canaveral - a new easily accessible homeport for MSC Cruises. Today, the Swiss-based cruise line also reconfirmed its March – November 2021 program, which will include two new ships currently under construction and a series of new or enriched itineraries and homeports, including a new home for MSC Divina in Central Florida.

“We’re very pleased to welcome MSC Cruises USA to Port Canaveral and excited to be the homeport for the beautiful MSC Divina,” said Port CEO Capt. John Murray.  “This exciting new partnership is an endorsement of our commitment to excellence and the investments we’ve made in our cruise operations. Port Canaveral, FL -  The July 3rd fireworks event scheduled to take place at Port Canaveral has been cancelled to comply with all federal and state recommendations to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Port Canaveral, FL  – Port Canaveral today released its plan for public access to the Port for viewing the scheduled May 27 liftoff of SpaceX’s Crew Dragon, the first crewed mission launched from the U.S. since 2011. The launch is currently scheduled for Wednesday, May 27th at 4:33 p.m. from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center north of the Port.  

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in alignment with federal and state guidance to minimize the potential for virus spread, access to popular launch viewing points at Port Canaveral will be limited, and traffic in and around the Port will be controlled.

Port Canaveral COVID-19 Update
The Canaveral Port Authority cares for the safety and well-being of our employees, partners, visitors and guests. As we continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 developing situation, in line with recommendations from the CDC and the Florida Dept. of Health, and have taken numerous actions in response to guidance issued by Florida Governor DeSantis.

Port Canaveral boat ramps are open and parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. All users are reminded to follow the recommendations of the CDC and FL Dept. of Health for social distancing, and the Governor’s Executive Order limiting gatherings of 10 or more people to limit potential spread and exposure to COVID-19 virus.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that in an abundance of caution, the Board of Commissioners of the Canaveral Port Authority have cancelled the Commission Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at 9:00 A.M.
 
The Canaveral Port Authority cares for the safety and well-being of our employees, partners, visitors and guests. As we continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 developing situation, in line with recommendations from the CDC and the Florida Dept. of Health, and in response to guidance issued today (March 17) by Florida Governor DeSantis, we have taken the following actions.
As we work with our cruise partners to accommodate their berthing needs, there are currently six cruise ships at lay berth at Port Canaveral with a seventh ship anchored off-shore.  These are Disney, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, and Carnival cruise ships, which are generally homeported at Port Canaveral, and none of the vessels has passengers on board.
Port Canaveral is at normal operations and continuing to closely monitor the COVID-19 developing situation. Yesterday’s decision by cruise lines to voluntarily and temporarily suspend cruise ship operations from U.S. ports will have profound impact, especially for a cruise port like ours. 
Port Canaveral, FL – The official grand opening of the Port Canaveral vehicle processing facility was marked with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the arrival of 730 new vehicles aboard the massive 653-foot-long vessel Wisteria Ace, the first vehicle carrier to call at the Port’s facility. The new automobiles were discharged at the Port’s 16-acre auto processing facility located alongside South Cargo Pier 4. Another carrier is scheduled to arrive next week with more than 850 new autos aboard.
