Port Canaveral boat ramps are open and parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. All users are reminded to follow the recommendations of the CDC and FL Dept. of Health for social distancing, and the Governor’s Executive Order limiting gatherings of 10 or more people to limit potential spread and exposure to COVID-19 virus.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that in an abundance of caution, the Board of Commissioners of the Canaveral Port Authority have cancelled the Commission Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at 9:00 A.M.
 
As we work with our cruise partners to accommodate their berthing needs, there are currently six cruise ships at lay berth at Port Canaveral with a seventh ship anchored off-shore.  These are Disney, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, and Carnival cruise ships, which are generally homeported at Port Canaveral, and none of the vessels has passengers on board.
Port Canaveral is at normal operations and continuing to closely monitor the COVID-19 developing situation. Yesterday’s decision by cruise lines to voluntarily and temporarily suspend cruise ship operations from U.S. ports will have profound impact, especially for a cruise port like ours. 
Port Canaveral, FL – The official grand opening of the Port Canaveral vehicle processing facility was marked with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the arrival of 730 new vehicles aboard the massive 653-foot-long vessel Wisteria Ace, the first vehicle carrier to call at the Port’s facility. The new automobiles were discharged at the Port’s 16-acre auto processing facility located alongside South Cargo Pier 4. Another carrier is scheduled to arrive next week with more than 850 new autos aboard.
Port Canaveral, FL – The Canaveral Port Authority has been awarded a $14.1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Port Infrastructure Development Program to modernize and expand Port Canaveral’s North Cargo Berth 3.
 
Port Canaveral, FL – Firefighters from several Space Coast departments were at the Port Canaveral Maritime Firefighting Academy this week for three days of hands-on exercises and classroom training on firefighting techniques for liquefied natural gas (LNG), the marine fuel that will power the next generation of cruise ships. The Port’s Firefighting Academy training facility was expanded earlier this year to include LNG training for firefighters and shipboard personnel in preparation for the arrival of the first LNG-powered cruise ship at Port Canaveral later this year.
 
Port Canaveral, FL – Construction to complete boat trailer parking areas near the Port’s new Cruise Terminal 3 complex is expected to be finished by mid-February. Public boat trailer parking has remained open during all phases of construction with no reduction in the number of boat trailer parking spaces.
Port Canaveral, FL – Crew members from Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s Port Canaveral-based Harmony of the Seas will join volunteers for a beach cleanup at Jetty Park from 10 a.m. to around 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2.
 
In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.. Day, Port Canaveral administrative offices will be closed on Monday, January 20.  Administrative offices will resume regular business hours at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, January 21.
