HEAVY WEATHER ALERT: Port Canaveral at Hurricane Condition 'X-RAY' due to approaching Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine

Port Canaveral UPDATE Friday, Sept. 13, 2019 at 2:00 PM: Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine
In accordance with National Hurricane Center forecasts, Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine may develop into a Tropical Depression or Tropical Storm within the next 48 hours.  As a result, effective 2:00 p.m., 13 September 2019, Hurricane Condition X-RAY was set in the Port of Canaveral by the U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port (COTP) Jacksonville. 


At this time, no significant impacts are expected in Port Canaveral due to Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine. However, Port tenants, users, visitors and guests are encouraged to continue to monitor weather forecasts for any updates or changes.
  • Port Canaveral remains open to all commercial traffic.
  • Port Canaveral operations remain normal, including Jetty Park Campground and all recreational facilities.
  • For cruise vessels sailing to/from Port Canaveral, there are no known changes to ship arrivals, departures, or itineraries however, guests with questions regarding sailings or itineraries changes are advised to contact their respective cruise line.
