Badging Office Application Guidelines

Persons seeking access into restricted areas of the Port or working construction on Port sponsored projects must possess a Port issued badge (Port Badge, Contractor, or Visitor Badge).  These credentials are issued through the Canaveral Port Authority’s Badging Office.

Persons working within the Port’s Cargo Areas require the following for entry to the Cargo Areas:

  • Visitors are required to be pre-authorized by a tenant or CPA representative prior to arrival.  Individuals approved for access may then pick-up their temporary access badges at the designated North or South Intermodal Gate.
  • Individuals with their Port Badge must present it at the gate along with their Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) for unescorted access. Those without a TWIC must have an escort present for entry and with them at all times within the secure area.

Cruise Terminals

Active cruise terminal access is controlled by the security contractor on-site, and access requests must go through the appropriate security agency.

Construction Areas

Individuals working within construction areas on Port sponsored projects must have a Contractor’s Badge issued through the Badging Office.
