By Day...Enjoy Sand, Sun and a Breeze off the Water
By Night...Stalk Fish or Dream Under the Stars

Our three public parks provide more recreational facilities than Florida's other 13 deepwater seaports combined. There is a park here to suit everyone's style, from 35-acre Jetty Park with its beach, campground and full range of activities to quiet 4-acre Rodney S. Ketcham Park.

In addition to our parks, a mile and a half of bike paths run through the Port, from the eastern boundary at Jetty Park to Freddie Patrick Park. And note that all boat-launching ramps located within the Port are free and open to the public.

While you are visiting our beaches and parks, you may get the chance to see some of our protected species. For more information about them, click here.

Jetty Park

Jetty Park is one of the most popular recreation spots in Brevard County. Besides the 4.5 acre family beach with its designated areas for swimming and surfing (lifeguards on duty year round), one of this park's best-loved features is the 1,200 foot Malcolm E. McLouth Fishing Pier - open 24 hours, paved, lighted, equipped with fish-cleaning tables with running water and fully accessible to the physically challenged. Specially designed beach wheelchairs give access both to the beach and pier. A recently renovated and expanded building on the boardwalk houses an air-conditioned refreshment center and a bait and tackle shop.

Jetty Park also contains a 126-site campground with options from rustic tent areas to full RV hook-ups.

There are fees for day parking and camping at Jetty Park. For cars, day parking is $10.00. Camping fees range from $25 to $47, depending on the utilities included and the season. For campground or picnic pavilion reservations, call 321-783-7111.

Freddie Patrick Park

Rodney S. Ketcham Park boat rampThis 10-acre park is located in the center of the Port's south side. You may enjoy its facilities, including covered picnic tables and boat-launch ramps, at no charge.

Rodney S. Ketcham Park

Rodney S. Ketcham Park is a four-acre park at the Port's west end featuring boat-launch ramps, covered picnic tables, fishing from the bulkheads and an observation tower for a great view of ships in the harbor. This park is also a stop on the Great Florida Birding Trail. There are no fees for its use.

Avocet Lagoon (planned)

A new "Sunday-picnic" type park is proposed for a 4-acre site near the Canaveral Lock. When it is completed, visitors will be able to view manatees and other local wildlife here while enjoying the parade of boats between the Port and the Banana River.

Jetty Park Fees

To ensure that your Port experience goes smoothly, please read our Park Day-Use Rules and Restrictions and Campground Policies and Rules when you plan your trip. As a courtesy to all park guests, no dogs are allowed in public areas, beach, and/or tent camping areas.
