Canaveral Welcomes Carnival Dream
World's Largest Cruise Line's Newest and Largest Ship

PORT CANAVERAL, FL- November 18, 2009 - A red carpet welcome for the new Carnival Dream as it berthed today for the first time at its new home at Port Canaveral.

This magnificent vessel is Carnival's largest, the flagship of the largest fleet of cruise ships in the world, and Carnival has chosen Port Canaveral as its home," says J. Stanley "Stan" Payne, CEO, Port Canaveral. "It is a vote of confidence in the Port's future and the future of the soon-to-be 20-year old partnership between Carnival and Port Canaveral."

Carnival Dream will carry an estimated 200,000 passengers annually from Port Canaveral with a total economic impact estimated at $2.3 million. With the Carnival Sensation, which operates three- and four-day cruises from Port Canaveral, Carnival Cruise Lines expects to carry more than 450,000 guests from Canaveral.

"We have been working hard to get the Port ready so that we can deliver Carnival's guests to the ship with smiles. And in doing this, we've put a lot of people to work on those physical improvements of our facilities at a time when our community needed an economic boost. We're not finished yet and the Carnival Dream represents another economic shot in the arm for Brevard County. Truly, a great day for Port Canaveral."

In addition to a traditional plaque ceremony aboard the Carnival Dream, a 'sail-a-bration' for the community attracted several thousand to the Port's Jetty Park to bid the ship bon voyage on its first sailing from Canaveral.
